Zubar needs time to adjust - McCarthy

Mick McCarthy has pleaded for patience with new Wolves signing Ronald Zubar as the defender prepares for his first Premier League season.

The 23-year-old moved to Molineux from Marseille last month and McCarthy knows Zubar will need time to adapt to his new surroundings.

"Ronald is finding it difficult in terms of communication and understanding and I recognise that because it happened to me the other way when I went to Lyon," McCarthy told the club's website.

"To be able to communicate better with your team-mates makes defending a lot easier and so he's found that a little bit difficult, but he's fine.

"He also started a bit later than the other lads and was a bit behind in terms of fitness so we need to get some games into him."
