Newcastle goalkeeper Fraser Forster has signed for Norwich on a one-month loan, ending League One rivals Bristol Rovers' hopes of keeping him.
The 21-year-old, a product of the Academy at St James' Park, began the season on loan with the Pirates and also had a spell at Stockport last term.
Forster has yet to make a first-team appearance for the Magpies but was on the bench for their UEFA Cup tie in Frankfurt in November 2006.
At the moment new City manager Paul Lambert has Ben Alnwick, on loan from Spurs, teenager Declan Rudd and Australian Michael Theoklitos at his disposal, although the latter's future is in grave doubt following his nightmare debut in the 7-1 defeat by Colchester on the opening day of the season.
