Whites handed bye after JPT draw

Leeds have been handed a bye into the second round of the Johnstone's Paint Trophy, which will be played in the week commencing August 31.

Simon Grayson's men will compete in the Northern Section of the competition and are one of 16 clubs to avoid the the opening ties.

Grimsby, Hartlepool, Macclesfield, Notts County, Port Vale, Shrewsbury and Tranmere join United among the Northern Section byes, while Aldershot, Brighton, Charlton, Exeter, Leyton Orient, Southampton, Southend and Swindon are the lucky clubs in the Southern Section.
